Elements of a Thesis Proposal Template

1. Title Page

This page contains the basic information of the thesis which is mandatory to mention such as the author’s name, institution, mentor’s name, department as well as the submission date. Make, it short, descriptive and engaging. The title page should be catchy as well as should capture the essence of the respective thesis project.

2. Abstract

After the title page follows the abstract that is the summary of the complete proposal. This will describe the problem or the issues that you will research or investigate as well as provide a solution for it. This section should be brief and not more than 300 words. 3. Introduction

How you will collect the data and analyze it?
What materials will you use?

Also, state the method that you will be for coding data or any outsider problems which might wreck your information while handling the issues.

6. Preliminary Results and Discussions

Use this section to state any of the findings that you have obtained related to your thesis. Also, discuss how all of these findings fit in the framework of your thesis. You can discuss all of your findings in detail here so that the viewer has a clear idea of the direction that your research is heading towards.

7. Work Plan Including Time Table

In this section describe what you plan to do until your thesis is over in a timeline format. A good timeline will help validate the feasibility of your research.

The timeline can also be formatted in the form of a table or list that includes the start and finish dates of all the important market components of your research. These important components include direct beneficiaries, other beneficiaries, other organizations, inputs and labor market etc. Also, include any of the challenges that you need to overcome while completing the deadline that you have mentioned.

To finish your proposal on a strong note and bring it all together, explore the potential implications of your research. Emphasize what you want to contribute to the field. Also, address how the addition of your research may modify the current knowledge on the topic. This will further help in proving the usefulness of your proposed research.
